Your brain can understand from 10,000 to 50,000 bits of data per minute; one bit equates to one word. We learn in various ways, beyond the physical senses, through other forms of thought. Much of human thinking is conscious in nature. Senses, however, are totally automatic. What\’s taking place is that the sense of smell has automatically brought up a thought, \”PIZZA\”, to the brain and mind. The thought might be unconscious.

Sensing food is a physical sensation of your sense smell. It is a mental sensation (unconsciously or consciously) through thinking. And finally, there tends to be a physical sensation by eating, swallowing, and smiling. To summarize the PIZZA experience: Brain and mind is where the \”action\” is — and your body is where the \”reaction\” is.

Education is the key for a successful career, which is why it is the primary responsibility of all parents to send their children to school. Although education is a necessity, not all parents are able to fund their children’s schooling. Most usually stop after they graduate from high school.

This is truly happening in almost any part of the world, and according to statistics, the number is increasing year after year. And this is probably why the government and other private organizations are looking for ways to give scholarships to capable students with limited financial resources.

Students have different talents. Some students are good in sports, others in computers, and others in the arts like dancing and music. More and more scholarships are now available that focus on a particular field of interest. If you really love music and are good at it, there are scholarships for college.

Music is extremely popular and many students are good in this area of study. Many parents convince their children to not choose a career in music because it is a very unstable career and few people really make a living at it. But in the end, it is the students choice alone about what they want to do with their future.

1. Bel Canto offers a $15,000 scholarship for people between the ages of 20 and 37 who want to pursue a career in opera in the United States.

2. John Lennon program for BMI scholarship; this is a scholarship awarded to songwriters who are able to write original compositions. But you can only take advantage of this scholarship if you are invited.

3. The String Magazine Scholarship. This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. This scholarship is based on academic merit and financial need.

4. FAME scholarships. FAME scholarships are only awarded to college seniors who have been nominated for professional achievement.

There are many more music scholarships available. You can find them online by searching music scholarships. You then go to the different websites and see what the requirements are and how to apply.

Here is another idea. Most big universities deal with scholarships all the time. As such, the registrar maintains a list of available scholarships. Contact the registrar and get your hands on their scholarships list then research them.

The good thing about the field of music is that there are less students competing for scholarships. Most are convinced by their parents to stay away from music. If you are struggling to earn a college degree in music, there is a good chance that you will get a scholarship so go for it.

You should not be discouraged for applying for these scholarships if you are in financial hardship. Everyone can relate to financial hardship because we were all young once and there.

Not having the money to go to school should not make you drop out of college. You need to spend some extra time researching these music scholarships.
